Beware of 2012 bat rule changes when purchasing a bat for teh 2011 baseball season
Over recent years we have seen great advances in baseball bat technology. In order to maintain safety within the game the rules that govern these bats must also continue to be updated. As of January 2011 most bats are not affected by any new governance, but to determine if a bat is legal please review the 2012 Bat List. However, next year, ALL BATS will be illegal unless they have the new "BBCOR" stamp affixed to them and only new bats made in 2011 will have the "BBCOR" stamp on them. This point cannot be stress enough because you're going to see lots of really good bat deals now that all vendors are trying to liquidate their old inventory. Don't fall for these deals unless you plan to only use the bat for the 2011 season and never again.
